Micro-Cased Cameras

Analog Security Camera Systems are designed around a relatively simple concept: one or more analog cameras – which must be powered, send their signal(s) through a coaxial cable to a Digital Video Recorder (DVR) or other recording device. Analog cameras work by way of interlaced transmission, which means they capture video at intervals known as “fields” and transmitted to the receiver. Two fields together make up a video frame, which is what you’d pause on if you were reviewing recorded data. Further, as the technology has improved, analog cameras have gone from large, bulky devices to the discreet, dome and bullet style cameras that we usually see on the ceilings of banks and other businesses, which means you don’t have to sacrifice aesthetics for security, nor is it necessary to get an expensive IP system just for the sake of having low-profile cameras. Analog systems have came a long way and resolutions have increased from 380TVL (TV Lines) to 8MP Megapixel (4K) previously reserved for scientific fields and unheard of a for the commercial market. Analog cameras have many advanced features such as WDR (wide dynamic) and DSS (digital slow shutter) also known as frame accumulation mode. These features give the camera the ability to properly expose a subject behind a bright background so a face can be recorded properly and also to record in Starlight with the correct shutter speed. Most analog cameras are digital devices that just adhere to outputting there final signal in analog format. The modern analog camera systems are rich in digital features such as remote viewing on cell phone tables and PCs.

For most home or business security purposes, analog has been and will continue to be the go-to option for most users. With its "Plug & Play" ease of use, affordability, and ability to incorporate recent advances in technology, it offers many of the advantages of higher-priced systems at a fraction of the cost. Its simplicity enables most maintenance and trouble-shooting to be performed on-site without the hassle of delving into a computer network or the expense of calling a technician out to address the problem, making it ideal for DIY-types and the budget-conscious alike
